Fallbrook Library Donor Wall

Overview
The Library’s entry mural incorporates four donor tile panels (each 18”wide x 48” tall) tastefully settled between three (48” tall x 60” wide) graphic panels depicting the natural and rural essence of Fallbrook. The donor names are silkscreened onto hand-made tiles. There are six levels of naming opportunity starting at $1,500 up to $40,000. The more the donation the larger the tile. The graphic panels are made from sculpted tiles, silk-screened tiles, found objects and word mosaics. An owl flying out of a sculpted book amidst a spray of words and phrases represents the wisdom of learning. A giant avocado, sunflower and leaves represent the agricultural heritage of Fallbrook. Historical images of local people and places, from the Fallbrook Historical Society are silkscreened onto tiles and sprinkled throughout the mural. Over 200 local residents attended a workshop at the Fallbrook School of the Arts to create tiles with inspiring words and phrases on them. This event provided the community an opportunity to be a part of the project.
